Air Traffic Control Privatization Legislation

I just listened to a good discussion of the pending ATC privatization plan on EAA's The Green Dot podcast which came out Thursday, June 27.  I get it on iTunes but you can find it online at http://inspire.eaa.org/2017/06/29/eaas-the-green-dot-jack-j-pelton-on-current-air-traffic-control-privatization-legislation/

A lot of good points were made and the consensus was against the plan.  Everyone agrees that there are problems with the FAA but it is unclear how privatization will provide solutions.  A listener comment at the above link lays out some arguments for privatization, some of which are shaky and most are just past gripes against the FAA.

Not mentioned was that another bill has been filed which outlines improvements in FAA policy and procedures.  EAA has a Rally Congress page which is an easy way to contract your congressional representatives and express your opinion or just sign the letter proposed by EAA.  You can find this at http://govt.eaa.org/ctas/oppose-air-traffic-control-privatization

BTW, the picture is SFO.
